Enlisted in Marine Corps in 1950 and retired with 26 years active duty, July 1976 with rank of 1stSgt.

Served as Drill Instructor at MCRD San Diego 1950-1953. Later served aboard USS Roanoke (CL-145), USS Pittsburg (CA-72). Recruiting Duty 1969-1972. I & I Staff, 'K' Company, 25th Marines 1974-76.

Vietnam 1965-66

Joined Saguaro Detachment, Marine Corps League in 1994 and served as JrVice Cmdt; two terms as Detachment Commandant. Elected Department of AZ Commandant for 2 terms, 1998-2000. Appointed SW Div National Vice Chief Devil Dog 1998-99. Served as SW Division National Vice Commandant 2002-2006. Currently serving as SrViceCmdt Department of CA, MCL.
